Central's favorite encyclopedias

The word “encyclopedia” is believed to have come from the Greek “enkyklios paideia,” meaning a circle of learning or a well-rounded education. And that’s what an encyclopedia is: a book that has comprehensive information, either generally or about a specific topic. The articles in encyclopedias are overviews, quick to read and easy to understand, and they are great when you are just beginning to learn about something. Here are a few of the Central librarians’ favorite encyclopedias.
