Help your librarian choose the best books, movies, comics, programs and events for you and your friends. Have fun working on special projects, making new friends, and creating the perfect library for you! This is a volunteer position and snacks will be provided. For students in grades 4-6.

Get ready for spring with refreshing and healthy spring salads, from fruit salads to pasta salads. Kids and families will help prepare salads and mix dressings.

Are you a Pokémon card fan? If so, join us for some Pokémon free-play! For kids new to Pokémon and experts alike, focusing on cards and Pokémon TCG. Ideal for Grades 3-8, but all Pokémon-loving kids (and their grownups who want to learn more) are welcome!

This exhibition celebrates the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s First Folio, the earliest collection of his dramatic work. Without the book’s publication in 1623, nearly half of Shakespeare’s plays would have been lost, including Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and The Tempest. The show highlights Shakespeare’s legacy in the education and entertainment of young people, in film, and in popular culture.

Join us for a special Black Family Storytime celebrating African American heritage, art and culture! Children from birth to age 6 (with a favorite adult and other family members), will have fun with books and stories, songs, a craft, and movement activities in a positive and affirming environment.

Do you love anime? Are you in middle school or high school? If so, join our Anime Club! We meet two times a month at the Rockwood Library Makerspace to watch anime, discuss our favorite series, and eat yummy snacks. We can talk about mangas, do anime crafts, and design anime-themed materials as well!

Come learn about Preschool for All (PFA), providing free preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds in Multnomah County. Eligible children must have at least one parent or legal guardian residing in Multnomah County and turn 3 or 4 by September 1, 2024.

This is a drop-in event - stay as long or as little as you like, and questions are welcome!
