Mexican Metal Tooling

Discover crafts from around the world! We will be creating a traditional craft from Mexico. We will also explore the music, culture, foods and learn some basic phrases in Spanish. You and your children can make cool multicultural creations as they learn more about the world around them.

Have you ever seen the Mexican Metal Tooling Art technique? The process of working a rounded tool on the back side of soft metal to create a beautiful piece of raised Mexican art is called Repujado.

Supplies provided for local Washington and Oregon patrons for library pick-up. Please register at least two weeks before event to get supplies. Library staff will email you when your supplies are ready for pick-up.
