The exhibition is open during the John Wilson Special Collections' hours of operation.
We're celebrating books by exhibiting eight vintage posters from 1948 to 1963 that commemorate Children's Book Week, the longest-running national literacy initiative in the United States.
These large-scale, original posters are illustrated by the best children's book illustrators of their day including Maurice Sendak, Adrienne Adams, Garth Williams, Marguerite De Angel, and more. Four posters will be on exhibit during November and replaced by four other posters during December.
This exhibition is made possible by gifts to The Library Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to our library’s leadership, innovation and reach through private support.
