Join social worker and professor Javelin Hardy to learn about trauma, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and coping strategies for the African American community. In this series participants will discuss how COVID-19 causes trauma to the mind, body and spirit.

June 6- The education of trauma and how it affects our mind, body and spirit. Black trauma, racial trauma, weathering and Black mental health and solutions to save our communities
June 13- Why are we experiencing grief and loss during COVID-19?
June 20- Introduction to cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness and AfroCentric healing
June 27- Implementing grounding skills: distress tolerance -DBT therapy, meditation and relaxation techniques
