Mic Crenshaw

Hip Hop artist  Mic Crenshaw explores the connection between hip hop culture and social justice activism.   

Explore themes like: the history and elements of hip hop culture: dance, street art, fashion, music; the culture of resistance created by Black and LatinX youth; commercial rap music versus conscious hip hop; the place of hip hop in the struggle to end injustice and discrimination; and last but not least, how to write a rap and perform! 

For teens grades 6-12.
