Didgeridoo Down Under is a high-energy, Australia-themed show that combines music, culture, science (biology, ecology, physics), puppetry, comedy, character building, reading motivation and audience participation. The didgeridoo, usually a hollowed-out tree trunk or branch, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years and is known for its mesmerizing sound. But DDU is much more than music – it’s interactive, educational, motivational and highly entertaining. The performers use an assortment of exotic didges, percussion instruments, puppets, pictures, artwork, maps, globes, motivational signs and even a vocabulary list to enhance their program.
This program will be held at Fairview City Hall in the upstairs Council Chambers. The address is 1300 NE Village St, Fairview, OR 97024.
