The exhibition is open during the John Wilson Special Collections' hours of operation.
This small exhibition has 13 titles pulled from a large gift in 2016 by a long-time supporter of the John Wilson Special Collections. Jack Walsdorf, who sadly passed away earlier this year, loved all holidays almost as much as he loved books and so it made perfect sense for him to build a collection of various editions of Charles Dickens' beloved novella, A Christmas Carol, first published in 1843. The exhibition includes several miniatures, two pop-up versions, and a handsome copy of Arthur Rackham's first edition, bound in vellum and signed by the famed illustrator in 1915.
