Bronson Herring is a Portland-based artist who works primarily with oil pastels. Born in Texas, Bronson has always felt an urge to express his creativity and started doing pencil sketches at a young age. After moving to the northwest in 2013 he began to explore other mediums, eventually falling in love with oil pastels. His work is a combination of ideas inspired by his favorite artists and abstract pieces inspired by the teachings of religious mystics. He often uses every color available, blending and layering to create new colors and textures, signifying the interconnectedness of all things.
The artist will host a reception on Sunday, January 26, from 3 to 4:45 pm.
The exhibition is accessible during the library's hours of operation. Ask any staff person to open the room.
