Smoke Screen is an art installation about the deaths of innocent people from the violent use of firearms. The 283 victims commemorated by this piece represent less than one-third of all deaths of indiscriminate mass shootings since 1966, the year of the University of Texas tower shooting.
The artist will host a reception on Saturday, June 1, 10 am-12 pm.
Bonnie Halfpenny received a BA in Fine Art from Arizona State University, with an Art Education Certification.
The exhibition is accessible during the library's hours of operation. Ask any staff person to open the room.
