Library service updates

Sprouting seedling, text of service update

Updated April 15, 2021

We’ve missed you, and we’re excited to begin welcoming you back to the library.

Multnomah County Library will begin offering some in-building services at locations in different parts of the county, including Capitol Hill, Gresham, Holgate, Kenton, and Midland libraries beginning June 1. Other locations will continue to offer holds pickup services and free printing. The library is working closely with Multnomah County public health officials to monitor COVID risk levels and will phase in services at other locations on future dates to be determined as public health and safety allow.

The library’s commitment to serving communities that have been most marginalized by systemic inequities has informed the process of choosing these five libraries.

The following services will be available without an appointment:

  • Computers, internet access, printing, faxing, copying (free of charge)
  • Family spaces with two computers, one for an adult, one for a child
  • Time-limited browsing
  • Holds pick up
  • Information desk
  • Restrooms
