Reviewed by: Amy Age: 12
This book is about a twelve-yearold girl who likes to write novels. She is lead to a cave where a mysterious old lady gives her a bronze pen, which she soon learns has magical properties.

Read this book! It's amazing. I've read many books and this one has still managed to make it as a fave. (Oh, and Lemony Snicket comments on it on the back.)

A Series of Unfortunate Events
Reviewed by: Amy Age: 12
These books so totally rock! I love them all. I read all thirteen. That is ...

*The Bad Beginning
*The Reptile Room
*The Wide Window
*The Miserable Mill
*The Austere Academy
*The Ersatz Elevator
*The Vile Village
*The Hostile Hospital
*The Carnivorous Carnival
*The Slippery Slope
*The Penultimate Peril
*The End

Basically, it's about Violet,14, Klaus, 12, and Sunny, infant. Count Olaf is always chasing after them, trying to get his hands on his fortune. They're orphans after their parents die in a fire that destroys their home.

These books are really hilarious, and I recomend them to everyone--to people who haven't read them, and to people who have.

Oh, and BTW, do not say that you won't read the books 'cause you saw the movie. The books are extremely different, and the movie is no good compared to the books. Anyway, the movie only includes the first three in the series.

Read these books! I urge you to! Read these books! At least try them out. I'm 98% sure you won't be disapointed. (You see, there's always the possibility that you're too dumb to appreciate these books, which is why I only said "98%" instead of "100%".)

Some of the bestest books ever! (Don't drag Harry Potter in my face, 'cause I know HP is much better. But to compare it to HP ... that's saying something.)

Read them books today! Don't let a badly done movie scare you away! And don't listen to Mr. Snicket when he says not to read the books because they're too sad ... you can take it.

READ THE BOOKS!

Read about baby Sunny as she takes on the job of a secretary (5). Read about Klaus when he's hypnotised (4). Read about Violet when she bearly gets her head cut off (8). Read about Sunny when she's trapped in a bird cage, dangling out a window (1). Read about Olaf disguising himself as a woman (4). Read about Violet nearly getting married (1).

Fox wasn't afraid of storms and wouldn't listen to Franklin about his fears. Once the storm came they raced to the treehouse for shelter. Franklin and Fox ran to their house where they heard loud thunder and were scared. Franklin hid in his shell until Fox's mom brought them snacks and then they played. In this book, Clarice meets some new people, learns some swedish and polish words, and also..... well I'm not going to spoil the book. Also, there is two other books in the series called Utterly Me, Clarice Bean; that is the first. And then there is Clarice Bean Spells Trouble; and that is the second. Clarice Bean, Don't Look Now; is the third. Have fun reading!!! :)
Lily B. on the Brink of Love
Reviewed by: Lillie Age: 11
Lily B. is a teen that loves to write. She is incredibly real and talks to the reader as if she wants to have a conversation.

Elizabeth Cocy Kimmel does a great job mixing Lily and her "true love" into a real life mishap. Love is not risk free, and Kimmel shows it well.

Kimmel uses metaphors, onomatopaeia's and other devices in her writing to keep the reader interested. She shapes her words and does a great job of it too.

The end is wonderfully realisitic aand has a great "love episode", (if you may call it that), at the end.

The characters were great, the words were great, and the plot was great. This was a great book that I would recommend to any girl, age ranging from 9-13. Even adults, and possibly some boys.

I loved this book and would rate it a two thumbs up choice! :)
