About the exhibit
Puppets and masks from 35 years of Tears of Joy Theatre performances will be on display. Tears of Joy Theatre creates stunning puppets that bring stories from around the world to life.
More than 30 puppets and masks will be on display including these:
- Old woman from Miser of Tahoma
- Fox from How Coyote Kept His Name
- Rumpelstiltskin and Lola from Rumpelstiltskin
- Wu-kong (monkey) and Ba-jeer (pig) from Monkey King
- Foxy Loxy from Chicken Little
- Cinderella
Tears of Joy is one of the nation's outstanding puppet theatres, recognized for its commitment to innovation and excellence. A resident company at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, Tears of Joy also tours throughout the U.S. and abroad. Its programs reach over 225,000 people each year.
