Citizenship Classes

• Learn about the process of becoming a citizen
• Prepare for your citizenship interview
• Study United States history and government for the examination

• To become a citizen, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Have lived legally in the United States for at least 5 years
• Be able to read, write and speak basic English
• Know basic United States history and government
• Be of good moral character

Classes are in English, and are taught by library volunteers.

Capitol Hill Library

• Saturdays: September 13, 20, 27 and October 4, 11, 18
• 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• Mondays: September 22, 29 and October 6, 13, 20, 27
• 5:30–7:30 p.m.
