New Libraries
Troutdale Library
Location: 2451 S.W. Cherry Park Rd., Troutdale (in the Cherry Park Market Center)
This new neighborhood library will serve residents in east Multnomah County. The existing leased space of 6,000 square feet, housing approximately 20,000 volumes, will be renovated to meet the requirements of a branch library building. When it opens, the library will be open the same hours as neighborhood libraries of similar size.
The architectural firm of Hennebery Eddy has completed the construction documents, and the project was put out to bid. The firm of Brockamp & Jaeger Inc. was selected as the contractor; they mobilized the first week in March. We expect the new Troutdale Library to open in early summer 2010.
